THANK YOU TO THE SUPPORTERS OF THE 2012 CAREER FAIR!
Clarkston Education Foundation would like to thank all the people who made the Lincoln Middle School 2012 Career Fair a huge success! More than 70 businesses shared their career paths with the 400 LMS students. A wide range of career choices were available to students. Also in attendance were representatives from area colleges/universities along with members of various high school groups who provided students with information on what is available to them in the future. Each of the LMS students approached three businesses of their choice and asked them questions pertaining to their schooling, classes taken in high school/college, salary ranges, typical day in the work life, etc.
This event was made possible with the help of WSU GEAR-UP – Pat Sobotta and crew, Lincoln Middle School staff and parents, and Blue Ribbon Linen Supply. LMS teachers and staff played a big part in engaging students in pre- and post-Career Fair preparation in developing questions/reviews of the businesses. We appreciate everyone’s hard work in organizing this event.
The Career Fair is held every two years, at which time both 7th and 8th graders participate. We at CEF believe that this is a valuable tool in the students’ planning for their future!
